It is because Forrest Fenn is Illiterate.

2. lacking in education or the knowledge gained from books
Now let's look at what Forrest Fenn has to say about himself:

This just proves how stubborn, conscience about his lack of education, and illiterate Forrest Fenn is!
He is making excuses for not being a good writer!
I'm sorry, Forrest Fenn. You are wrong!
That is not how language works.
People can't just go and say they are changing the rules. Rules are there for a reason. It's a standard. Without standards communication breaks down. This has been researched and proven many times.
Talk about a most gnawing frustration that there are people who praise him.
