You may want to assume this is related to his old age right? Nope, there is a much darker explanation.

Ten months ago the Forrest Fire community created bots designed to spam all of Forrest Fenn's email accounts. We currently have 36 accounts that send Forrest an email every minute of the day!!!

36 emails a minute = 2,160 emails an hour.

And you wonder why Fenn hasn't responded to you!!!!!

This is going to be a triumphant Hollywood ending.
